I've been single for a very long time and really would like to find that one person that I can connect with, in all ways. I'm extremely fun loving. Hi - I finally figured out how upload a picture from my phone to my computer. I have been reading these descriptions for months and find that they inhibit interest rather than encourage it....so lets try this: I would like to find someone who will tolerate: a smoker, a little bit of a workaholic, a dog lover, beer drinker, and a very early riser. In my 32 years on this Earth, I have learned a great deal about myself and the people around me. By all accounts, my life could be a whole lot worse. I have a good job, a nice home, and great people around me. I suppose as time goes by, I have tried to live my life by this quote, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." I would like to think I am a calm and rational person. I try my best to embrace and understand the thoughts and feelings of others. I am the type of person who says what they mean, and means what he says. Honesty is the key to any good relationship, and I consider myself to be an honest and sincere individual.

Art and music to me are a passion, not just a simple hobby. My mind is always racing, and I do everything imaginable to get my thoughts out. I write music, and lyrics, poems, stories, books, draw, sing...however I feel I can best express what I have in my mind.
Friends are important, my friends and family are everything to me. I hope you are open to meeting new people, because I always like to take people with me to my friends house. They pull me through everything, so they are involved in everything.
Laughing is important, because smiles are precious. It's extremely difficult for me to sum myself up in a few paragraphs. I feel like I need to give myself a fair assessment, so that people aren't just reading all the wonderful things about me without hearing any of my quirks or flaws. I'm a completely honest person, so I'm going to just totally put myself out there and see what happens.

My life is busy and somewhat chaotic. I've learned to laugh when things get overwhelming because what else can you do? I'm pretty OCD about things, but I'm learning to let go of the things I can't control. I have kind of a dry/sarcastic sense of humor and most people who don't know me have a hard time knowing when to take me seriously or not. I don't think I could be with someone who lacks a backbone, but I can't be with someone who tries to walk all over me either. I'm a vegetarian, but I do eat seafood.I am not offended by others who eat meat, but I am offended when someone tries to debate my dietary choices with me. I do not drink often (maybe a couple times a year) and don't think I could be with someone who drinks often. I don't smoke and I really dislike being around smokers. I'm quiet in the morning, and throughout the day I go through equal bouts of chattiness and quietness. Despite being outgoing, I'm completely introverted. I'm pretty off-beat and I really enjoy originality. I cannot date someone who doesn't like to engage in deep conversations. I'm extremely attracted to intellect. I'm too analytical for my own good. I love being outdoors. I'm usually pretty agreeable, but I have an enormous backbone and I have a hard time backing down when defending myself or my loved ones. Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees, but most of the time my being so detail-oriented works to my advantage. My favorite season is summer. My favorite month is July. I very much dislike typical guys. If strip clubs and chauvinistic comments are your thing, I'm not your girl. It takes a little time and patience for me to let my guard down, but once it's down I will trust you undoubtedly unless you give me reason not to. Sometimes I get frustrated by my guarded heart, but I think that it should be considered a good thing for any guy who would like to date me because you know I don't go around falling for every guy I meet. I don't fall for most of the things that a lot of girls fall for. Playing hard to get, sending mixed signals, and being egotistical (you know, the stuff that drives a lot of girls wild) does nothing for me. I want a relationship that offers security and safety, but one that excites me and keeps me on the edge of my seat as well. I am ideally hoping to meet the person I will spend the rest of my life with, but I know this requires some dating around. The least I'm hoping for with this experience is to meet some interesting people and have fun. I've been kind of skeptical about this whole "online dating" thing (I'd much rather meet my soul-mate through more organic means, like in the produce section at the grocery store or while picking out paint chips in Home Depot), but I don't seem to put myself in the position to meet new people very often. I'm not sure what to say about myself, but I'll give it a try.

I am a pretty creative guy who loves to write and cook. I enjoy campfires and hiking. I prefer the autumn to do the outside thing, the air is crisp and clean and the temperature is always just right. There's just something about the crunch of leaves under my feet that makes me feel alive. And a campfire is never quite the same without the autumn smell.

I am honest and tend to take people at their word....some people think I'm a little too trusting, but I always prefer to see the best in people. Maybe I tend to be a little bit naive at times....but I've never lost anything to anybody that I wasn't willing to lose.
