Dark green with bluish needles, it looks very similar to white spruce, but offers a more mature appearance with a much larger trunk and larger leaves. In the 1950s, they made a variety of plants available for horticulture, such as trees, shrubs and grasses. They sold plants including the Black Hills spruce, dried pine, blueberry, black oak, red oak and white oak.
